Our library consists of around 5, 000 books, numerous DVDs, audio books and subscribes to one weekly national newspaper. New items are constantly being added and all reading suggestions for new resources are considered and acted upon.
The children visit their peaceful and welcoming library throughout the day with their class teacher.
Pupils are encouraged to use research skills effectively and a weekly Library Club supports this.
The role of Kent College Junior school Library, in partnership with the teaching staff, is to provide a relaxed, but stimulating reading area where pupils feel supported in both their learning and their leisure. The library supports the school curriculum, providing staff and students with appropriate resources.
Ms Almond, the Librarian, is available in the library every weekday between 3:00 and 4:00pm.
